Our Mission and Our Core Values
We are committed to representing people who have been harmed by banks, debt collectors, credit reporting agencies, and corporations. We are ordinary people that strive each day to remember who we are and to be present. We provide honest and caring representation. We treat everyone with dignity and respect. We resist and reject corporate values that put economic efficiency, profit and amassing wealth over the well-being of people. We will do the hard work necessary to understand your case, speak the truth and present your case to a jury.
About Balam
My parents are hardworking immigrants. My parents taught me the value of hard work, respect for others and to love family. I grew up with a lot of cousins, aunts, and uncles. Some of those folks are blood-related and others aren’t, but my parents never saw any difference and neither do I. When you visit my office or become a client I hope to treat you with the same warmth and caring that I learned from my family.
There are many reasons I chose to become an attorney, but what I’ve learned over time is that it’s my love of people and their own story that sustains me. I will take the time to listen to you, learn your story and let you know if I can help.
I am a father, husband and trial lawyer. I enjoy improv, combat sports, cooking, surfing, yoga, and spending time with my family. I received my undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley and my law degree from Santa Clara University. I am a 2008 graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College and a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates. Prior to being a lawyer I was an elementary school teacher.
